Retention and Disarms
Combines the Controlled F.O.R.C.E.
In-Holster Weapon Retention and
Out-of-Holster Weapon Retention
and Disarms training into one
category of controlled weapon
retention and disarm techniques.
Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Level 1:
Mechanical Advantage Subject Control
is a thought-process training system
that teaches officers how to utilize
body positioning, movement,
momentum, and joint manipulation to
control a subject. Its In-Holster
Weapon Retention training provides
an officer with valuable techniques
for retaining his/her holstered
sidearm from a weapon grab using
positioning and body movement in a
planned arrest situation.
Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Level 2:
Survival Force Reactionary Defense
is a reaction-based training system
that teaches officers how to survive
a surprise attack and then
transition to control tactics. Its
Out-of-Holster Weapon Retention and
Disarms training provides an officer
with life-saving techniques for
retaining his/her drawn sidearm with
confidence and control from a
surprise weapon grab, and to
effectively disarm an opponent
should he/she gain control of your
sidearm in a struggle.
Combined, these techniques give the
officer a host of skills needed to
survive a variety of weapon grabs
and then transition to control
tactics or disengagement options
with increased safety to the officer
and the subject.
